About The Position

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) seeks a highly capable, organized, and discerning Chief of Staff to the President. The role supports effective leadership, internal coordination, and execution of organizational priorities. The President works remotely, and the Chief of Staff serves as the President’s primary on-site representative and operational partner in the Washington, DC office. The Chief of Staff maintains an understanding of office activity, staff needs, operational realities, and emerging concerns; facilitates communication across departments; and helps translate decisions and priorities into action. The role combines organizational-level work with hands-on problem-solving and office management. It offers an emerging professional broad exposure to nonprofit management and executive decision-making. The position reports directly to the President and works collaboratively with department leaders and staff, including Human Resources, Finance, and Operations. It coordinates assigned operational activities and may make routine operational decisions within delegated authority and approved budgets. It does not independently supersede department leaders’ responsibilities or assume authority over personnel, budgets, or organizational policy unless specifically delegated by the President. Success is measured by timely and accurate reporting to the President; reliable follow-through on decisions, assignments, and projects; effective office operations; stronger cross-department communication; early identification and appropriate escalation of risks; useful systems that improve accountability and efficiency; strong working relationships; and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
