Chief of Staff

NorthwoodsDublin, OH

About The Position

The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a senior, trusted partner to the CEO, accountable for increasing executive effectiveness, accelerating readiness, alignment, and follow-through on strategic priorities, and ensuring critical work advances with clarity, focus, and documented follow-through across the organization. Operating as an enterprise integrator and tracking transformation, the CoS translates the CEO’s priorities into structured plans, disciplined operating rhythms, and clear accountability across leaders and teams. The role enables execution through clarity, coordination, and escalation, transformation tracking, and high-priority special projects, enabling the CEO to focus on strategy, leadership, and growth rather than day-to-day coordination. This role operates with explicit CEO-delegated authority for follow-up and escalation on leadership commitments. The Chief of Staff serves as an independent, neutral force, holding leaders accountable through visibility, follow-up, and escalation, without direct authority, connecting work that would otherwise remain siloed, and acting as a clear communication bridge between leadership and the organization, including synthesizing inputs across leadership areas to translate the current state of the organization, surfacing gaps, morale risks, and misalignment. The role filters escalations, surfaces risks and tradeoffs early, and ensures decisions move from intent to action. This is a hands-on, highly visible role designed to adapt as Northwoods navigates significant growth and organizational change.
