About The Position

Switchboard is seeking a Chief of Staff to act as the key strategic and operational partner to our client. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated professional ready to step into a Chief of Staff role—you do not need to have held this title before, but you should bring exceptional resourcefulness, maturity, and operational savvy from fast-paced environments. In addition to driving business and operational projects, you’ll also provide personal assistance to support the client’s productivity and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Experience in an operational, administrative, or leadership support role; ready to step into a Chief of Staff position
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately process and reconcile orders and invoices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate autonomously
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with business software, bookkeeping concepts, and process optimization
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and unflappable—solutions-oriented in all situations
  • Trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable handling both business and personal matters for an executive

  • Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial businesses is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and right hand to the owner/operator, supporting multiple business entities
  • Oversee business operations, anticipate needs, and proactively resolve issues before they arise
  • Lead and manage special projects, new initiatives, and critical priorities across the enterprise
  • Act as liaison between the client, vendors, partners, and internal teams
  • Process and reconcile orders and invoices with a high degree of accuracy
  • Optimize administrative and business processes for efficiency and scalability
  • Maintain high-level calendars and ensure the client’s time is focused on the most critical priorities
  • Prepare documents, reports, and business communications as needed
  • Consistently follow established processes and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Independently identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
  • Assist with select personal duties such as managing schedules, making reservations, coordinating personal appointments and travel, and handling confidential matters
  • Support execution of business strategy and key objectives

Benefits

  • Long-term contract position
  • Pay: $65,000 – $90,000 (1099, based on experience)
