About The Position

Boston Medical Center (BMC), Department of Pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM) is seeking a Board Certified Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology. This role involves leading the division in clinical practice, teaching, and research within an academic urban medical center. The successful candidate will oversee division operations, participate in ambulatory and inpatient services, and teach medical students and residents. There are opportunities for collaboration with the Internal Medicine Endocrinology Division, including refining a Pediatric-to-Adult Transition Clinic and supervising internal medicine endocrinology fellows. This position offers a chance to lead the expansion of patient care, teaching, and clinical research in endocrinology, diabetes, and weight management. The division features a comprehensive Type 1 Diabetes Program, a multidisciplinary Type 2 Diabetes Program, and an Adolescent Transgender Program, with close collaboration with GI and Nutrition for weight management services. Strong leadership and clinical skills are required, along with an interest in practicing in an academic urban environment and working with a diverse patient population.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology Medicine.
  • Eligible to be fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician at Boston Medical Center.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities
