Under minimum supervision, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) has twenty-four (24) hour accountability and responsibility for planning, organizing, developing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing and ancillary services throughout the organization. Such services include clinical practice, quality patient care, fiscal accountability/productivity, human resources management, regulatory compliance, leadership, staff development, and professionalism. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments and the medical staff to facilitate positive patient care outcomes and a desirable work environment for employees. Responsible for identifying and implementing new business opportunities to increase volume in clinical and ancillary departments. Participates with administration, medical staff, and other clinical staff in developing the Hospital’s mission, goals, strategic direction, and financial plans. Proves to be an excellent collaborator within all levels of the organization.
