About The Position

West Pines Behavioral Hospital, a newly built, state-of-the-art behavioral health facility located in Westminster, CO, is seeking an experienced, mission-driven nursing leader to join their executive leadership team as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). This role is with Acadia Healthcare, the nation’s largest stand-alone provider of mental health and addiction treatment. West Pines Behavioral Hospital delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across all ages, specializing in mental health and addiction treatment. The CNO will be a key member of the hospital’s executive leadership team, driving nursing strategy and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Active RN License (CO or eligible for reciprocity).
• Proven Nursing Leadership (CNO, DON, or equivalent).
• Behavioral Health Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting (required).
• Strategic & Operational Expertise with strong interpersonal skills.
• BSN required.
• 6+ years RN experience (10+ preferred).
• 3+ years progressive nursing management.
• 2+ years behavioral health RN experience in inpatient psychiatry.

Nice To Haves

• MSN or mental health nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, and workforce planning.
