Requirements

Master's or PhD degree in Medical Physics
Five (5) years of clinical experience
American Board of Radiology in Radiation Therapy Physics or Radiological Physics
Must meet qualified expert criteria defined by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or State radiation agency.
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

Experience with IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT with CBCT/OBI, 4D CT, and organ motion management.

Responsibilities

Conduct all aspects of radiation therapy physics, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Perform calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
Maintain rigorous quality assurance programs for equipment and treatment delivery.
Ensure compliance with NRC and state regulations, as well as ACRO and AAPM guidelines.
Lead and mentor the physics team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Provide guidance and leadership to a team, including one physicist and two dosimetrists.
Oversee all clinical medical physics services, including equipment calibration, quality assurance, and compliance with radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
