About The Position

Ascension Kansas is looking to hire a Chief Medical Officer to join our team! Ascension Via Christi hospitals operate in close coordination, sharing services, resources, and systemwide initiatives to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The hospitals in Wichita, in particular, are guided by a unified board. While this Chief Medical Officer role will be primarily based at Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa and the Rehabilitation Hospital, it will play an integral role in supporting operations, advancing clinical excellence, and fostering collaboration across all Ascension Via Christi hospitals in Kansas. Requirements

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the overall clinical vision for the organization and oversee clinical activities and quality across the organization.
  • Lead and implement the clinical direction for the organization.
  • Oversee the monitoring, measurement and quality improvement of clinical care.
  • Collaborate, develop, and lead the implementation of operational plans.
  • Develop and implement strategic goals related to the quality improvement and management programs.
  • Oversee residency program(s) and maintain a competitive stance in recruiting graduates of the program.
