About The Position

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, located in Augusta, Georgia, provides mental health services to ages 12 and older. All programs are provided by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, psychiatrists, and activity coordinators. We also maintain an onsite school that is approved by the Georgia Department of Education and fully accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. This is a Full-time Chief Medical Officer Psychiatrist position. The primary daily caseload will be Inpatient Adult unit and Inpatient Adolescent unit, with minimal RTC with NP assistance. The schedule is onsite, Monday-Friday day hours with shared weeknight and weekend call. This is a W2 employed position.

Requirements

M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience post training.
Willing and experienced treating ages 12 and older.
Experience and comfort in participating in leadership meetings and administrative duties up to 20 hours per month.
Supervision of NPs is required.

Nice To Haves

BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
Child/Adolescent fellowship program a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
