About The Position

NewWorld is hiring a fractional Chief Marketing Officer to lead marketing, partnerships, and innovation. The role sits in the Office of the CEO and connects the company’s work into a compelling story of a high-growth, innovative media business positioned to scale its value and impact. The CMO will own how NewWorld communicates its work and turns visibility into business-development momentum. For each show, they will develop an end-to-end launch plan covering the target audience, traditional media approach, and social strategy. They will also ensure that every show and command-center project produces a strong case study and that those case studies are incorporated into current business-development materials. The role will build partnerships with entertainment companies, creator companies, and other organizations that can support content development, revenue, and cultural reach. It will connect NewWorld’s work with studios for potential acquisition and monetization of its intellectual property, and introduce the company to partners who manage and advise talent. The CMO will also help design and launch a new partnerships program with the potential to grow into a core function with a dedicated team over the next 18 months. In innovation, the CMO will keep NewWorld engaged with developments in AI and use the company’s approach to AI integration across media development, production, distribution, and monetization to help create business value. The position is remote and US-based, with the option to work from NewWorld’s New York office and occasional travel for convenings and key engagements. It is a contract role for 2–3 days per week, with compensation of $12,000–$15,000 per month, depending on working days and experience.

Requirements

  • A track record of launching work and earning attention through traditional media and social channels.
  • Experience building partnerships that produced concrete outcomes, such as securing talent, winning distribution, or earning revenue.
  • Fluency with creator ecosystems and how entertainment, brand, and media companies make deals.
  • Experience turning completed work into case studies and sales materials that help win subsequent projects.
  • Early adoption of new technology, especially AI, with sound judgment about its practical value.
  • Excellent writing and synthesis skills, and credibility representing NewWorld to senior external partners.
  • Experience in an early-stage or fast-moving environment, building a function rather than inheriting one.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed, comfortable owning a remit that has not previously existed at NewWorld.
  • Able to discuss both business deals and creative work credibly.
  • Warm, direct, and effective as an external representative with senior partners.
  • Able to manage marketing, partnerships, and innovation in parallel while remaining aligned with NewWorld’s mission.
