About The Position

The Chief Inspector ensures that repair station operations comply with FAA/CAA/EASA regulations, Unilode’s Quality Manual/Procedures, and Customer Air Carrier requirements. This role holds final airworthiness determination authority and leads inspection personnel to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience of Release to Service of Components using an EASA Form 1.
  • 24+ months of practical experience in aviation maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a high-activity, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to make quality decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
  • Competent in reading and interpreting manuals, drawings, policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and punctuation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performing the Release to Service of maintained components when meeting regulatory, OEM and customer serviceability requirements
  • Ensure all components received for maintenance at the AMO/ MRO are recorded from receipt to release ensuring components are returned to the customer in a airworthy/serviceable condition in accordance with the company MOE and airworthiness regulations.
  • Support the Workshop Manager with the day to day compliance of operations in accordance with CAA/ EASA/ FAA regulations, manufacturer’s technical data, MOE, and customer requirements.
  • Support the Workshop Manager on maintenance planning and assign responsibilities to inspection staff, ensuring quality, safety, compliance and production needs are met.
  • Perform and oversee Preliminary, Hidden Damage, In-Progress, and Final inspections and Release to Service of Components
  • Ensure all maintenance records are complete and accurate, supporting airworthiness determinations.
  • Report Quality, Safety and Compliance issues to the Head of QA and Workshop Management promptly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support the Workshop Manager on compliance with the company approved training programs, including initial, recurrent, ongoing, and specialised training.
  • Confirm that all equipment maintained by the AMO/ MRO is on the Capability List and that proper data is available and used.
  • Support the Workshop Manager checking staff training records are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Airworthiness Directives and verify adherence to customer supplements and approvals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in inspection processes safety, quality and compliance standards.
  • Contribute towards the development of MOE policies and procedures.
