The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) establishes and leads the enterprise-wide information security strategy across MIT. The CISO leads the overall direction and implementation of information security policies, programs, and procedures to protect information security assets. The CISO positions the information security teams to provide an efficient, effective, and up-to-date risk management environment in support of IS&T’s goals. The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing enterprise IT security architecture, security standards, and guidelines encompassing information security.
