Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years in senior IT leadership, ideally in manufacturing or adjacent industries.
  • Depth in ERP/CRM, supply chain, and production processes.
  • Proven leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Awareness, Aptitude, Agility, Anticipation, Alliance, and Accountability—the behaviors that help Sentry employee-owners succeed together.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a business-aligned technology vision, strategy, and multiyear roadmap.
  • Lead a high-performing IT team.
  • Advise executives on innovative solutions that fuel growth and great customer experiences.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to maintain our edge.
  • Drive enterprise digital transformation.
  • Identify and implement automation to simplify workflows and boost operational efficiency.
  • Champion Industry 4.0—IoT, AI/ML, and smart factories—where it truly moves the needle.
  • Build a data-driven culture and BI environment that delivers actionable insight.
  • Stand up and mentor a cross-functional analytics community.
  • Partner with external data science experts on large-scale initiatives.
  • Oversee software development and product customization with a focus on timely, high-quality delivery, modern coding standards, agile ways of working, and DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize value, and allocate resources.
  • Establish and enforce strong information security policies, controls, and incident response in collaboration with internal teams and trusted partners.
  • Evaluate and manage technology vendors, negotiate smart contracts, set service expectations, and monitor performance to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
  • Build and manage the IT budget, balancing capital and operational spend to maximize ROI and keep critical projects on track.
  • Mentor and grow IT talent.
  • Set clear goals, coach for performance, and foster a collaborative, curious, high-standards team where people can do their best work.
  • As a member of Sentry’s Executive Team, help steer the business, facilitate big-picture strategy, mobilize support for key initiatives, uphold fiduciary duty, and contribute to a cohesive, trusted leadership team.
