This position is hybrid, with at least two (2) days are required and as determined by business need at the office located at 1575 Sherman St, Denver 80203. The role may involve travel within the state for meetings and community engagement activities. The purpose of this position is to provide financial and contract leadership and management for OES, and to develop, implement, and oversee the tactical plans, fiscal/contract operations, technological and other resource plans, and related initiatives for the office. In the process, this position works closely with the CDHS Chief Financial Officer, the Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB), the Division of Economic & Workforce Support, the Division of Food and Energy Assistance, the Division of Child Support Services, and the Division of Staff Development and the Budget & Legislative Manager to establish and maintain the office’s alignment with the overall CDHS financial/contract strategy. This position is responsible for maintaining an understanding of statutory and regulatory changes and legislative initiatives in fiscal policy and ensuring that the office's operations are consistent and up-to-date. Additionally, this position is the Office’s representative finance expert on base budget initiatives, fiscal policy analysis, financial compliance, grant and contract management, resource allocation, budget and rate calculations, financial reporting, projections, Joint Budget Committee (JBC) decision items, and proposals that directly influence management's decisions. As a member of the OES Senior Leadership Team, this position helps establish strategic priorities of the Office and allocates resources needed to achieve those priorities.
