The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leads the district’s short-term and long-term financial planning and multi-year stability strategy with a focus on impacting student performance and district improvement. The CFO manages the daily operations of cash flow, record-keeping, and communication for the district and ensures effective, efficient, and responsible financial practices are maintained by each local school. The CFO is responsible for preparing the annual budget in coordination with the Superintendent for recommendation to the Board of Education. The CFO anticipates and keeps the Superintendent, Board of Education, and community informed of anticipated revenue challenges and revenue improvement strategies. The CFO ensures responsible use and transparent communication of financial planning. The CFO prepares and manages the SPLOST budget and project progress.
