Chief Financial Officer
About The Position
Marine Credit Union is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. This role is ideal for a strategic, mission-driven leader who combines strong financial expertise with a deep commitment to servant leadership—putting people first while driving sustainable growth and performance. As CFO, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors—guiding financial strategy, strengthening organizational performance, and ensuring long-term financial health. You will lead all core financial functions including: Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Asset/Liability Management (ALM), Investments & liquidity management, Budgeting and forecasting, and Enterprise risk management. You’ll play a critical role in aligning financial strategies with our mission—delivering meaningful impact for our members and communities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive senior financial leadership experience
- Deep expertise in banking, credit union, or financial services environments
- Proven success leading financial strategy, ALM, capital planning, and budgeting
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence Board-level decisions
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Expertise in financial reporting, controls, compliance, and risk management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- CPA/CMA or advanced degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Shape and execute enterprise financial strategy to support growth and sustainability
- Partner with executive leadership and the Board to inform decision-making and risk management
- Drive financial transparency, reporting integrity, and governance excellence
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to guide strategic priorities
- Oversee balance sheet performance, liquidity, capital adequacy, and investment strategy
- Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and regulatory adherence
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing finance team
