About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) directs the finance and accounting functions and is integral and vital to the success of the organization. The ideal CFO candidate must possess strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. The CFO serves as the Ethics and Compliance Officer and must have an in-depth understanding of regulatory and accounting standards and principles and uphold the integrity of financial and compliance reporting. They must demonstrate skills and leadership in management, financial operations, hospital operations, fiscal affairs, strategic financial planning, internal controls, and compliance. The CFO must have the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and other data to meet the high standards of the hospital. This position will oversee various hospital departments in support of the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. The CFO will identify cost-effective systems needed to support the organization, taking into account business trends and resource availability. The CFO will work collaboratively with other managers in meeting facility goals. The CFO is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the finance and accounting functions.
  • Serve as the Ethics and Compliance Officer.
  • Uphold the integrity of financial and compliance reporting.
  • Demonstrate skills and leadership in management, financial operations, hospital operations, fiscal affairs, strategic financial planning, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Analyze and interpret statistics and other data.
  • Oversee various hospital departments in support of the hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Identify cost-effective systems needed to support the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers in meeting facility goals.
  • Manage Financial Management Activities including Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Revenue Cycle, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, and Capital Planning and Management.
  • Oversee Operational Responsibilities/Departments including Business Office/Revenue Cycle, Facilities, IT, Materials Management, and Case Management.
  • Engage in direct interaction with the Hospital Leadership Team, Governing Board, Executive Committee, staff, USPI & Tenet Senior Leaders.
