Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or healthcare administration required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility within finance/accounting in a hospital system, including 5 years of senior management experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems (Medicare/Medicaid); financial modeling/analysis and healthcare regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in working directly with a Board of Directors, CEO, and executive management.
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, project confidence, identify organizational needs, and present convincingly detailed information, analysis and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills including both verbal and non-verbal and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel, financial systems, data analytics and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in health/hospital administration, finance or business administration is strongly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the President and CEO for Garnet Health, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a member of the Executive Team and provide financial oversight for all entities within Garnet Health.
  • The CFO will lead the health system in planning, organizing and directing all functions related to financial management, budget, accounting and reimbursement for Garnet Health.
  • The CFO works in tandem with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors, supporting the established goals and objectives.
  • The CFO is responsible for all local, state and federal financial filings.
  • Oversees all areas of Finance, Revenue Cycle, Financial Planning and Supply Chain Operations.
