IMEG is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help advance our established growth strategy and drive continued momentum. Reporting to the CEO and a key partner to the executive team, this leader will guide financial performance, inform investment decisions, and position the organization for sustained long-term success. We’re looking for a CFO who brings both foresight and operational discipline. Someone who can translate financial insights into decisive action, strengthen organizational performance, and engage confidently with executive leadership and the Board. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide direction while leading a high-performing finance organization.

Requirements

Advanced expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management
Executive presence with strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
Strong strategic thinking and proven ability to operate as a trusted business partner
Deep knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and financial governance
Demonstrated success in budget development, cost management, and operational efficiency
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage executive leadership and Board stakeholders
Proven leadership capability with a focus on talent development and team performance
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and business ethics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration required
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience serving as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), including significant experience in mergers and acquisitions

Nice To Haves

MBA preferred
Experience within the engineering consulting industry preferred
Ability to travel up to 30%, including occasional overnight stays

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, shaping long-range planning, growth initiatives, and organizational strategy
Lead the development and execution of the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities
Provide forward-looking financial insights and analysis to support decision-making at the executive and Board level
Strengthen the credibility and influence of the finance function through timely, accurate, and actionable reporting
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Monitor organizational performance through KPIs, dashboards, and financial metrics
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and internal controls
Lead financial due diligence and analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives
Optimize cash flow, working capital, and capital structure to support scalable growth
Identify financial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to mitigate exposure and enhance performance
Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including banking institutions, auditors, tax advisors, and valuation experts
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and applicable financial and regulatory standards
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous growth
Evaluate and evolve the finance organization structure to support business needs and future scalability
Champion change leadership and process improvement across the organization
