About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a growing organization in the financial services/banking space. This individual will play a key leadership role in building out the finance function, driving financial strategy, and ensuring regulatory compliance while partnering closely with executive leadership and the Board. This is a direct hire, permanent opportunity on our client's team.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
710+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with strong exposure to banking or financial services
Strong background in banking regulations, approvals/accreditation processes, and compliance
Experience with cash flow management, funding strategies, and financial projections
Prior involvement in ERP implementations or system upgrades
Proven ability to assess and manage financial risks, including interest rate risk
Experience building or scaling accounting/finance functions or working in a growing environment
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to partner with executive stakeholders
Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency

Nice To Haves

CPA or similar professional certification
Experience working in a startup or newly chartered banking environment
Highly self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability mindset

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term capital strategy
Build and scale the accounting and finance function, including processes, systems, and team structure
Manage regulatory and financial reporting, including financial statements and required filings
Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and funding projections, including interest rate risk
Oversee asset/liability management (ALCO), balance sheet strategy, and financial risk analysis
Partner with executive leadership and Board to drive strategic initiatives and profitability
Maintain relationships with auditors, regulators, banking partners, and external stakeholders
Support ERP implementation and ongoing financial systems improvements
Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
