The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of AllHealth Network (AHN) is a strategic executive leader responsible for the organization’s financial stewardship, asset protection, and long-term sustainability. The CFO oversees all day-to-day finance operations, including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Grant Management, and Payroll, and is accountable for the preparation of accurate financial statements and the integrity of financial controls. The CFO will develop a scalable financial infrastructure, enhance financial operations to support a future workforce of 1,000+ employees, and act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team in steering the organization through significant growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA and/or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certificate preferred, but not required, based on experience and background.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible accounting experience including 5 years of related accounting/finance supervisory experience.
  • Strong strategic and analytical financial leadership skills.
  • Expertise in GAAP, nonprofit financial management, budgeting, and audit processes.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executive leaders and staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.  Experience with Microsoft Office; 10-key adding machine by touch; typing at 40 wpm; communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to negotiate stairs, climb a stepladder, and lift equipment and supplies up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy and Planning
  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term financial plans, forecasts, and budgets aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost optimization, revenue diversification, and sustainable growth.
  • Act as AllHealth Network’s representative on the Grovewood Community Development (previously known as CHDA or Community Housing & Development Association) Finance and Audit Committee.
  • Analyze financial records for reporting to Grovewood’s Finance and Audit Committee and Board of Directors
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and recommend corrective action as necessary to ensure financial stability and mission impact.
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Vice Presidents, Directors and staff to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, and to explore how the finance function can support program operations
  • Ensure transparency and integrity in all financial reporting, fostering trust among the entire Leadership Team.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring input from relevant departments and alignment with programmatic goals.
  • Assist AllHealth Network’s leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; prepare preliminary budget reports, assist with related analysis, organize/prepare budget drafts for review, compile final approved budget.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely financial forecasts to inform decision-making at all organizational levels.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, flagging variances and proactively addressing potential challenges.
  • Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, revenue cycle/accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that financial systems are robust, efficient, and scalable to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Oversee annual audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Manage the fiscal year-end accounting process in preparation for the annual financial audit. Coordinate all audit activity and work closely with auditors by preparing requested schedules and facilitating other audit requests
  • Interact directly with AHN insurance broker, annually for the General Liability/Property insurance renewal.
  • Identify and mitigate organizational risks, including financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks.
  • Work with Payroll Manager ensuring accurate pay for 800+ employees.
  • Review bi-weekly payroll, monitoring closely the cashflow implications.
  • Oversee current data regarding employee accounts, etc. within the payroll system.
  • Serve as AHN’s liaison to the Board Finance Committee, providing financial results, analysis and recommendations.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable financial reports and presentations to the Board of Directors.
  • Support board development and training in financial oversight and nonprofit best practices.
  • Oversee the accounting and management of restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring compliance with grant agreements.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of grant budgets, financial reports, and required documentation.
  • Work closely with program staff and development teams to maximize funding opportunities and stewardship of resources.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative, service-driven culture.
  • Encourage continuous professional development and training within the finance department.
  • Promote cross-departmental collaboration and communication to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Assess, support and implement financial technologies to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices in financial management and reporting.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and innovations in nonprofit finance and mental health sector funding.
