About The Position

The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the entire leadership team, and oversee all aspects of financial strategy, accounting, financial planning & analysis, reporting, and performance management. The CFO will report directly to the Chairman and CEO of the parent company. This role requires a balance of disciplined financial leadership, operational insight, and an entrepreneurial mindset to support both growth and brand innovation in the entertainment space. You’ll bring both analytical rigor and a “hands-on” approach to ensure financial clarity and control across the business, while enabling creativity and investment in our guest experiences. You will be a part of our shared services team and will support all divisions of the PBS Brands to include Punch Bowl Social, Pinstripes, VoiceBox, Lyrical and Sweet Tooth Hotel. Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Financial Leadership Partner with the Chairman and CEO, and work with the Board of Directors to shape and execute the company’s strategic plan. Lead long-range financial planning, ensuring alignment with growth objectives, capital structure, and brand vision. Provide clear, data-driven insight into business performance, trends, and opportunities. Support M&A activity, strategic partnerships, and other initiatives in the entertainment and hospitality sectors. Financial Operations & Controls Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance. Ensure robust internal controls, risk management, and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain banking, investor, and insurance relationships. Drive operational efficiency and margin improvement without compromising the guest entertainment experience. Business Partnering Act as a trusted partner to Operations, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources and Technology leaders — providing financial insights that help balance creativity with commercial impact. Support real estate development and new unit growth with robust site selection, investment appraisal, and return analysis. Ensure discipline in capital allocation and ROI tracking for entertainment, digital, and technology-driven initiatives. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to ensure high performance and career growth. Instill a culture of accountability, curiosity, and commercial partnership across the business. Champion cross-functional collaboration and transparency. This is a Denver-based hybrid position requiring regular in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Requirements

  • Proven CFO (or senior finance executive) with demonstrated success in driving financial performance and growth.
  • Strong technical foundation in accounting, FP&A, and treasury, coupled with commercial acumen.
  • Skilled communicator able to distill complex financials into clear, actionable insights for operators, board members, and investors alike.
  • Comfort operating in both detail and strategy — able to zoom in and out seamlessly.
  • Entrepreneurial and resilient; thrives in a dynamic, high-energy, hands-on environment.
  • Comfortable with the ambiguity and changing demands necessitated by a growth mindset / approach.
  • Collaborative and approachable; builds trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Naturally curious, data-driven, and commercially minded.
  • High integrity and strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-unit entertainment, hospitality, or consumer-focused businesses a plus
  • Track record of balancing financial discipline with enabling brand growth and guest experience.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or fast-growing businesses a plus.
