The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a critical member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial direction and management for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). This position ensures the alignment of the agency’s financial strategies with its mission to promote better health outcomes for Oklahomans through innovative and accessible mental health and substance use services. The CFO is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the agency’s financial operations, including budget development and oversight, financial reporting, compliance with federal and state regulations, and effective financial management in a managed care environment. The role also includes providing expert financial advising to support data-driven decision-making. As a leader in fiscal accountability, the CFO fosters transparency, ensures fiscal responsibility, and drives excellence in financial operations to support the agency’s core values and strategic goals. This position requires a collaborative approach, fostering strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the development and implementation of long-term organizational initiatives that enhance service delivery and outcomes.
