Habitat Chesapeake operates within a uniquely complex environment that integrates residential construction and development, retail social enterprise operations (“ReStores”), government funding and compliance requirements, and a mortgage receivable portfolio. Within this One Habitat ecosystem, the CFO plays a critical role in ensuring responsible financial stewardship, strengthening internal controls, managing risk, and enabling data-informed decision-making across the organization. The CFO provides executive oversight of financial and accounting operations, liquidity and cash flow management, regulatory and grant compliance, mortgage portfolio performance, and enterprise-level financial strategy. As an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role partners closely with organizational leadership to align financial resources, operational priorities, and mission outcomes in support of building homes, communities, and hope.
