About The Position

Looking for a very talented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a landscaping company in Snohomish, WA. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership for the company, partnering with the President & CEO to guide planning, operations, and longterm growth. The CFO leads the finance team, supports operational decisionmaking, and builds scalable systems that strengthen the company’s financial health and performance. This landscaping company has been around for 30 years and continues to grow like a weed (see what we did there?) and they’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and an even stronger sense of humor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in landscape or construction preferred. Other projectbased industries may be considered.
  • Proven success leading finance teams and partnering with executive leadership.
  • Expertise in job costing, cash flow management, and capital planning.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience with Management of >$18M Operating Budget.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks, Aspire software a plus.
  • A Sense of Humor a Must.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Aspire software a plus.

  • Partner with the President to define and guide the execution of the company’s strategic business plan: ensuring alignment between financial priorities and organizational goals.
  • Guiding current decisions: Translate financial insights into actionable strategies that drive profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
  • Guiding future decisions: Develop longrange financial plans and capital strategies that anticipate seasonal cash flow, equipment lifecycle requirements, and the company’s growth trajectory.
