About The Position

Sayre Christian Village (SCV) is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a financial leader who wants to make a lasting impact while helping guide one of Central Kentucky's premier nonprofit senior living organizations through an exciting period of growth and transformation. Serving older adults for more than 40 years, Sayre Christian Village is a faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, and affordable housing. We are committed to providing exceptional care while honoring the dignity and worth of every resident we serve. As our next CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the organization. In addition to leading all aspects of finance and accounting, you will help guide two major strategic capital projects that will transform our campus for generations to come. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence organizational strategy, partner closely with the CEO and Board of Directors, and help write the next chapter in Sayre Christian Village's history.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Healthcare finance experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Senior living, long-term care, or CCRC experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting, Medicare, Medicaid, HUD, budgeting, financial planning, audits, and strategic financial management preferred.
  • Experience with capital projects, financing, or construction planning is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial leadership to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, reimbursement, purchasing, and audit functions.
  • Develop long-range financial strategies that support organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Provide executive financial leadership for major construction, renovation, financing, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Present financial information, recommendations, and strategic analyses to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, Medicare, Medicaid, HUD, and other applicable regulations.
  • Develop, mentor, and support a high-performing finance team.
  • Partner with leaders throughout the organization to improve operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Remain actively involved in the day-to-day work of the Finance Department while maintaining a strategic perspective.
