About The Position

Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. Chief Financial Officer Responsible for overseeing all financial operations to ensure the organization runs efficiently, remains financially stable, and complies with all regulations. This includes managing accounting, billing, budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting, while maintaining strong internal controls. The CFO also supports leadership by analyzing financial data, guiding decision-making, and helping develop and execute strategic and operational plans. In addition to finance, the CFO oversees areas like information technology, works with auditors, banks, and the Board of Directors, and presents financial updates and budgets. As a member of the executive team, the CFO plays a key role in organizational growth, ensuring resources are used effectively, goals are met, and the organization remains sustainable long-term.

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • At least 3 years of executive-level financial experience in healthcare finance
  • Computer proficiency
  • A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • A motor vehicle record that meets the organization’s insurability standards
  • An active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license in the state of Kansas
  • Familiarity with Medicare and regulatory compliance
  • Executive leadership and strategic planning experience
  • Experience overseeing IT or cross-functional departments
