Chief Financial Officer

The Affiliated Sante GroupSilver Spring, MD
$145,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Affiliated Santé Group is a growing nonprofit behavioral and mental health organization serving communities across Maryland. We operate across multiple affiliated entities, run on a complex mix of federal and state grants, government contracts, and managed care funding — and we're expanding. Our finance function needs to match our ambition. This is not a back-office role. The CFO sits at the leadership table, partners directly with the CEO, and is accountable for the financial health of the entire enterprise. We're looking for a CFO who wants to build, not just maintain. Someone who can walk into a board meeting and command the room, who understands the difference between grant-restricted and unrestricted funds, and who has operated in the complexity of nonprofit or healthcare finance before. If your background is primarily corporate finance or you've never managed government-funded contracts, this role will be a difficult fit. If you've navigated multi-entity nonprofit finance with confidence — read on.

  • Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement familiarity a strong plus
  • Experience leading finance across multiple entities or programs
  • CPA preferred; Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting required, Master's preferred
  • GAAP, audit, and regulatory reporting expertise
  • Executive presence — you can translate complex financials into clear language for a board
  • Builder mindset — you improve systems and processes, you don't just maintain them
