About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial operations of the organization including managing the day-to-day billing, collection, accounts receivable and payables, strategic financial planning, maintaining and establishing profitable banking relationships, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, tax planning and reporting. In these roles you will ensure the financial health of the organization both now and in the future, especially the ability of the organization to open up 15-25 new clinics each year. The CFO will also oversee two additional departments including risk management, and Information Technology. The CFO will work closely with the Executive Team to support business objectives and lead financial initiatives to drive long-term growth and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior financial management experience, with a preference for experience in healthcare or behavioral health.
  • Proficiency in financial software, EMR systems, and regulatory compliance tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare finance regulations, including JHACO and HIPAA.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with flexibility to adapt to a fast-growing organization.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare finance or a similar environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis for predictive financial modeling and reporting.
  • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, or expansion initiatives within healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, with insights to guide executive decision-making.
  • Develop and oversee long-term financial plans in alignment with the company’s growth and expansion goals.
  • Conduct financial modeling to inform strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and other high-impact decisions.
  • Oversee billing, collections, and insurance processes, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for services provided.
  • Collaborate with Billing and Utilization Management teams to streamline revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including JHACO and HIPAA standards, and implement robust internal controls.
  • Lead the risk management strategy, including insurance and contractual risk mitigation.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, promoting professional growth and maintaining a high-performance culture.
  • Create and monitor SMART goals with the executive team to continuously enhance financial operations.
