About The Position

The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead finance staff in setting and achieving the financial goals of the organization. This role involves managing the Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager, and leading all financial activities including planning, budgeting, strategizing, maintaining, and forecasting. The CFO is responsible for all audits, financial reporting requirements, and compliance requirements. This position also requires developing positive relationships with the CEO, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, external auditors, and payor sources. The role is based in Sioux City, IA, and operates within a community health center (FQHC) setting, which serves as a primary source of comprehensive care for underserved communities with an integrated model including medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services.

Requirements

  • Financial leadership in a Health Care setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Financial expertise with cost accounting and performance management systems
  • Experience in revenue cycle improvement
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, strategy, forecasting, state/federal/and 3rd-party payors
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred
  • CPA or CMA highly preferred
