About The Position

Reporting to and partnering with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical role in developing and executing the financial strategy of Glen Dimplex Americas. As a member of the Executive Management Team, the CFO serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO and C-Suite team, providing financial insight, economic modeling, and decision support to drive profitable growth and long‑term value creation. The CFO is responsible for the company’s financial governance, performance management, and controls, and works closely with the Board of Directors to support strong oversight, transparency, and disciplined financial management. The role also oversees Finance, Information Technology, and Human Resources, ensuring these functions effectively enable the organization’s strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive senior finance experience, including responsibility for enterprise‑level financial management in a growth‑oriented or multi‑site organization.
  • Senior leadership experience overseeing broad financial responsibilities, with exposure to IT and/or Human Resources considered a strong asset.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, financial modeling, and partnering with executive leadership on complex business decisions.
  • Deep expertise and accountability for financial controls, risk management, compliance, and corporate governance best practices.
  • Executive‑level capability in synthesizing financial and operational data into strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Experience leading business transformation, system improvements, process optimization, or scaling operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly analytical, disciplined, and organized, with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Executive Management Team, lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy to support profitable growth, long‑term value creation, and strong financial performance.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership across the enterprise, serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO and divisional leaders through robust financial analysis, modeling, and decision support.
  • Direct and lead all core financial functions, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax, treasury, audit, and internal controls.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting in compliance with local, provincial, state, and federal requirements, and in support of strong corporate governance.
  • Lead enterprise‑wide planning and performance management processes, assessing results against annual budgets and long‑term strategic objectives.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships, optimizing capital structure and financial flexibility.
  • Provide oversight of enterprise risk management, product liability, internal controls, and audit processes to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors and engage regularly with Finance, Audit, and Investment Committees on financial performance, risks, and strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic leadership for Information Technology (IT), shaping scalable, secure, and integrated platforms that accelerate business performance and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Human Resources in alignment with business priorities, including workforce planning, compensation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Enable and drive cross‑functional collaboration across commercial, operational, and functional teams to improve efficiency, performance, and value creation.
  • Represent the organization with external stakeholders as required, including auditors, financial institutions, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
