About The Position

ProviderSoft is seeking a CEO to lead a profitable, established vertical SaaS business with full P&L responsibility and significant autonomy within a Constellation Software business. This is a planned succession, not a turnaround, offering a hands-on leadership role with direct impact on culture and outcomes in a small, customer-and-product-focused team. ProviderSoft has a two-decade history of building software for early childhood developmental therapy agencies, a stable niche market. The company is profitable, capital-efficient, and boasts a loyal customer base and a long operating track record. The mission is to empower Early Childhood Development providers with software, service, and expertise to achieve operational excellence and deliver high-quality care. The business is structured around three pillars: Software, Service, and Expertise, all of which the new CEO must champion. ProviderSoft is part of PYXiS, a portfolio within Jonas Software, which is an operating group of Constellation Software (TSX: CSU). Constellation is a major acquirer and operator of vertical market software businesses, known for its decentralized model that grants CEOs substantial autonomy in strategy, capital allocation, hiring, and product direction, with direct accountability.

Requirements

  • People-first leader with experience directly managing cross-functional teams and building trust.
  • Proven ability to develop talent and maintain healthy culture in small teams.
  • Technical credibility with AI fluency; ability to engage meaningfully with engineering on architecture, technical debt, and modern development approaches.
  • Experience using AI in personal work and a point of view on its impact on vertical SaaS.
  • P&L awareness with meaningful exposure to business economics (revenue, margins, retention, capital allocation).
  • Comfort with capital-efficient, profitable business models.
  • Builder mentality; experience taking something from messy to structured (team, process, product area).

Nice To Haves

  • Vertical market SaaS experience (any niche).
  • Familiarity with acquisition-driven operating models (Constellation, Roper, Volaris, etc.).
  • Track record of legacy system modernization.
  • Experience operating in small, high-autonomy environments where the CEO may sometimes answer support tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategy that accelerates growth and deepens the competitive moat.
  • Full ownership of the budget and financial performance, including ARR growth, retention, margins, and capital allocation.
  • Coach and mentor the Senior Leadership Team across Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Build a cohesive executive team that co-owns the company's success.
  • Own the product vision and roadmap in partnership with engineering leadership, ensuring alignment with market needs and growth drivers.
  • Oversee the end-to-end revenue engine (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success) from lead generation through retention and expansion.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Group Leader, providing transparent reporting on performance, strategy, and key initiatives.
  • Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in maturing the go-to-market engine.
  • Drive AI adoption across the business, ensuring ProviderSoft captures advantages in product, development, customer-facing, and internal operations.
  • Lead the product through a strategic modernization period, reducing technical debt and building foundations for AI-native capabilities.
  • Sharpen the leadership team's evolution into an integrated executive team with clear KPIs and operating cadence.
