About The Position

Intentional Futures (iF) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the next chapter of their idea-to-impact consultancy. Founded 16 years ago, iF is a certified B-Corp and a team of strategists and designers helping leaders in technology, philanthropy, education, and the public sector solve complex problems. The current CEO, Michael Dix, will transition to Chairman, providing active support in business development, client relationships, and leadership coaching. The new CEO will assume full ownership of strategic direction and daily operations, building on the firm's strong foundation and taking it in new directions. The role is based in Seattle, WA, with flexibility for relocation. iF cannot offer work visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Experience leading a professional services firm, consultancy, agency, or comparable people-powered business.
Proven ability to grow a business without compromising quality, impact, or values.
Track record of achieving challenging business goals, building teams, and delivering successful work.
People-first management approach, understanding the importance of people, relationships, and their growth in a consultancy.
Passion for generating positive impact and reconciling tensions to maximize positive outcomes for stakeholders.
Rainmaker instincts: ability to build relationships and close business.
Talent magnet qualities: ability to attract great people and protect the culture and craft that retain them.
Practitioner depth in strategy, digital innovation, and/or digital transformation.
Experience leading a consultancy, balancing client and people needs with business management.

Responsibilities

Set the forward-looking strategy and long-term vision for iF.
Own the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.
Attract and nurture exceptional talent.
Steward the culture and craft that make iF exceptional.
Build iF's national and global standing through thought leadership, storytelling, and a compelling public voice.
Broaden the client base beyond the Gates Foundation ecosystem, winning new clients across new sectors and reducing dependence on any single relationship.
Act as a rainmaker, personally sourcing and closing significant work.
Design and scale new offerings, such as productized services and annuity streams, to establish more predictable revenue streams.
Turn latent partnerships into real growth opportunities.
