About The Position

East Houston Medical Center is expanding and launching a new 80-bed acute care facility in the Baytown area, and we are seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead this next phase of growth. This is a rare opportunity to build a hospital from the ground up, shape a culture of clinical excellence, and elevate access to care for the East Houston, Channelview, and Baytown communities.

Requirements

• Proven success as a hospital CEO or senior executive in an acute care environment, ideally with new facility launches or major expansions.
• A record of driving quality, safety, patient experience, and strong financial results.
• Poised, credible executive presence with the ability to inspire trust across physicians, staff, and community partners.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in health administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic and operational leadership for the new 80-bed Baytown hospital, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Execution of growth strategies in partnership with the board, physician leaders, and senior executives.
• Financial stewardship, including P&L oversight and disciplined resource allocation.
• A high-performing leadership team and an engaged, mission-driven workforce.
