About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing estimating and pre-construction processes, managing staff, and ensuring financial targets are met. The Chief Estimator will develop and implement standard operating procedures, lead major RFP responses, and contribute to contract review and project turnover.

Requirements

• 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in Electrical/background.
• BSSE preferred.

• Relevant certificates or licenses are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standard operating process and procedures for estimating and pre-construction.
• Identify, hire, and retain adequate estimation staff to support overall estimation efforts.
• Lead, and organize overall company pre-construction processes and efforts.
• Ensure estimating software system is cost accurate and continually updated.
• Ensure estimating staff is knowledgeable and trained in use of the estimating software and estimating processes and procedures.
• Estimate and lead the major RFP, bid proposal, as required.
• Oversee and ensure that estimates are kept and stored as corporate knowledge.
• Receive and translate for use, the feedback from operations and construction team to improve estimation and pre-construction efforts.
• Assist with contract review, and lead the pre-construction turnover effort.
