You as a Chief Estimator: Experience in creating and monitoring construction estimates across a variety of project types and delivery methods, including lump sum, unit rate, time and material construction management and design build with the ability to lead a team in the preparation of estimates for major projects Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc Effectively determine the bid strategies required for the company to be successful as well as plan and coordinate and supervise large projects Review all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation Manage people and look after the bids Is this the right role for you? Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Advanced management or technical training preferred
  • Experience in estimating earthworks, underground, and concrete projects in public and industrial setting
  • Extensive (10 or more years) experience in similar facility construction estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts required
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills essential

Responsibilities
