About The Position

CEC Controls is a long-standing industrial and process control systems integrator founded in 1966, serving major automotive and industrial manufacturers across North America with automation solutions including conveyor controls, PLC/SCADA, panel integration, vision, MES, ASRS, and AMR integration. We’re seeking a Senior / Lead Electrical Controls Estimator to own complex estimating efforts for automotive programs—final assembly, paint, body-in-white, powertrain, and warehousing/logistics—where material handling and conveyor automation are central.

Requirements

10+ years' experience with 8+ in estimating.
Expertise with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms.
Familiarity with automotive material handling technologies.
Strong cost management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of 3-7 Estimators in the following:
Lead detailed estimates for automotive conveyor automation systems and other industrial automation scopes
Prepare and approve the Basis of Estimate (BOE).
Contribute to and ensure overall proposal process is adhered too.
Work with Management, Business Development, and Engineering on competitive strategy, manpower requirements, and execution methodology.
Continuously monitor for ways to improve the estimation process while ensuring consistency and accuracy in quotes.
Manage relationships with key customer's estimating teams
Act as the focal point with engineering, procurement, and OEM/client teams.
Evaluate vendor quotes and present estimates.
Maintain historical cost databases.
