About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chief Engineer for The Source Hotel, a unique industrial-modern hotel in Denver's RiNo Arts District. This 100-room hotel blends architectural character with contemporary design, offering an authentic hospitality experience. The hotel features an integrated artisan market hall with food, beverage, retail, and cultural experiences, as well as a rooftop pool deck and bar with city and mountain views. The Chief Engineer will lead the Engineering function, overseeing the maintenance and operations of the hotel's physical plant to ensure a safe, efficient, and exceptional environment for guests and team members, preserving the property's integrity and supporting its success.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar hotel engineering leadership role
  • HVAC and CPO certifications required
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pool systems, and general building maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position at a hotel
  • HVAC and CPO certifications a must
  • Very strong skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pool maintenance and all other aspects of the discipline

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all Engineering staff and hotel maintenance operations
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and repair programs for all building systems, equipment, and physical assets
  • Monitor life safety systems, utilities, and mechanical/electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate standards and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain the overall condition of the property, including guest rooms, public areas, grounds, and rooftop amenities
  • Supervise the implementation of all property equipment preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor life safety systems and utilities
  • Administer the department in compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and associates
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems and equipment
  • Oversee general maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant, FF&E, grounds, swimming pool, etc.
