Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the engineering or facilities management field
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled engineers and technicians
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of the hotel's physical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and provide prompt resolution to guest concerns
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Identify opportunities for energy conservation and implement sustainable practices
  • Manage the engineering budget, including procurement of equipment and supplies
  • Stay updated with the latest technology and industry trends to drive continuous improvement
