Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 3-5+Years of engineering experience in hotels or related industry.
  • 3-5+Years of managerial in the same or similar environment.
  • EPA – OSHA 10-30 – CPO certifications.
  • HVAC – Electrical – plumbing specific.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible Schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • This team needs a strong hands-on people leader to maintain 30 years down to 30 days experience.
  • Critical Thinker and ability to troubleshoot is heavily needed, can't always call the vendor
  • Financial experience strong - maintaining budgets and projects
  • Project Management medium
  • CPO needed (we can certify)
  • HVAC and/or Boiler knowledge is highly recommended
  • Manages the grounds, pools, and general upkeep of the building and 116 units while collaborating with corporate on future projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of highly motivated Technicians.
  • Completes property repairs and manages capital projects with company guidelines.
  • Guides and grows team members for future career opportunities.
  • Develops and completes the pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department, and makes adjustments to the operations in order to meet the strategic goals and interests of Resort Operations
  • Ensure that the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and current at all times.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of operating supplies and ensures that proper purchasing procedures are followed to maintain an adequate supply.
  • Ensure all assets of the department, equipment, supplies and storage are properly locked and secured.
  • Manage relationships, contracts, compliance, and interface issues with the operation’s business supporters and suppliers to ensure business needs and financial responsibilities are handled in a timely manner
  • Performs other related activities as required.
