Chief Engineer

YourSpace HotelsChesapeake, VA
$55,000 - $65,000Onsite

About The Position

This Chief Engineer role is unique as it involves managing a brand-new building, YourSpace Chesapeake, which opened in March 2026. Unlike typical chief engineer positions that involve addressing deferred maintenance, this role focuses on establishing a preventive maintenance program for a new property with 122 extended-stay suites. The engineer will manage warranties, commissioning punch-lists, and system optimization, setting a standard that will serve as a blueprint for future YourSpace properties. The position offers a "founding-team seat" in a growing brand, real ownership of the department's budget and operations, and the backing of LTD Hospitality Group's extensive experience in hotel management. The role requires managing the entire physical asset, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, life-safety, and technology systems, as well as building and running a preventive maintenance program with a 90-day cycle for guest suites. Responsibilities also include warranty and vendor management, responding to guest downtime issues, managing department expenses, ensuring compliance with inspections, leading a growing team, and partnering with the General Manager on capital planning.
