ABOUT THE ROLE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all engineering operations including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy systems.
Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
Supervising the upkeep of the property, ensuring guest comfort and safety are always prioritized.
Plan and oversee capital projects, renovations, and technical upgrades.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
Monitor and control departmental budgets, energy consumption, and operating costs.
Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering technical growth and accountability.
Collaborate with other departments to support seamless guest experiences.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance checks.
Partner with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
Implement innovative energy-saving and sustainable engineering solutions.
Introduce digital tools and systems to improve maintenance tracking and efficiency.
Explore and apply new technologies that enhance operational performance.
Mentor and develop your team to deliver consistent technical excellence and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred).
• Minimum 7+ years of engineering/maintenance experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role within hospitality or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, renewable energy, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements for building and safety compliance.
• Budgeting, project management, and cost control experience.
• Hands-on leader with problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to sustainability.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
