The Chief Engineer advises and controls the Engineering operations within the resort, which includes the daily supervision of mechanical, structural, electrical, and other-related maintenance systems. In this position you will work with the Resort Leadership Team to develop maintenance programs; engage team members; maintain accurate budget; and find opportunities that better equip the organization to achieve its established annual business goals.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ Years of engineering experience in hotels or related industry.
  • 3-5+ Years of managerial in the same or similar environment.
  • EPA – OSHA 10-30 – CPO certifications.
  • HVAC – Electrical – plumbing specific.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Completes property repairs and manages capital projects with company guidelines.
  • Guides and strengthens team members for future career opportunities.
  • Develops and completes the pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department, and makes adjustments to the operations in order to meet the strategic goals and interests of Resort Operations
  • Ensure that the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and current at all times.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of operating supplies, and ensures that proper purchasing procedures are followed to maintain an adequate supply.
  • Ensures all assets of the department, equipment, supplies and storage are properly locked and secured.
  • Handles relationships, contracts, compliance, and interface issues with the operation’s business supporters and suppliers to ensure business needs and financial responsibilities are handled in a timely manner
  • Performs other related activities as required.
