This role is responsible for ensuring the hotel is in great working order and meets all operational standards related to the Engineering Department. The Chief Engineer will conduct walk-throughs and assessments of the maintenance and operation of the hotel structure, systems, and equipment. This position is also responsible for the Rooms and Public Area Preventive Maintenance Program, maintaining updated records, and working collaboratively with the hotel management team and the property General Manager. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will hire, train, supervise, coach, and counsel associates, including managers, and ensure the grounds are maintained to provide a great arrival experience. Implementation of the hotel's safety and emergency policies and procedures, including hazard removal and adherence to OSHA Hazcom program and safe lifting techniques, is also a key responsibility.
