About The Position

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph to be considered. Cherokee Preting is looking for a Chief Engineer / Lead Architect to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Analytic Innovation Office. The Engineer will support the delivery of end-to-end expertise for designing, developing, sustaining and modernizing mission-critical capabilities. Requirements

• Must have at least eight (8) years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated experience as an architect and delivering cloud -native solutions (PaaS) and CI/CD pipelines in secure federal environments
• Able to work independently with limited oversight
• Experience leading small teams, strategic planning and mentoring junior staff
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading cloud migration, legacy application modernization and establishment of automated DevSecOps pipelines
• Defines system architecture, technical standard, and integration strategies
• Evaluates emerging technologies and makes recommendations for technology adoption
• Leads technical reviews, resolves complex technical issues, and mentors engineering staff
• Represents technical capabilities to Government stakeholders and senior leadership
