About The Position

The Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO)-Health System serves as a strategic health system executive responsible for leading digital transformation, data strategy, information security, AI enablement, and technology operations across the LLUH Hospitals, LLU Health Care, and LLU Faculty Medical Group. The CDIO partners with clinical, operational, and finance leaders in the health system to translate digital capabilities into measurable improvements in patient outcomes, consumer experience, workforce efficiency, financial performance, and mission impact. The CDIO is accountable for the health system’s cybersecurity, digital resilience, regulatory compliance, and the governance and optimization of the health system’s CareConnect platform and strategic technology partnerships. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex digital, cybersecurity, and data strategies for governing boards, senior leaders, clinicians, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and leading enterprise-wide change.
  • Proven experience managing and motivating diverse teams, building effective partnerships, and negotiating and governing large-scale vendor and enterprise contracts.
  • Strong organizational discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while operating independently within complex institutional and governance environments.
  • Master’s Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, informatics, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare IT required.
  • Relevant experience in an academic medical center/health system and demonstrated executive-level leadership of a major enterprise EHR platform (Epic strongly preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Seven years management experience in academic or healthcare setting preferred.
  • CHCIO, CPHIMS, or relevant certification preferred.
