About The Position

The Chief Development & Strategic Partnerships Officer (CDSPO) is responsible for advancing the organization’s strategic priorities through philanthropic support, partnerships, and community engagement. The role provides leadership for development, communications, and relationship-building efforts to enhance organizational visibility, impact, and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in development, fundraising, or partnership management in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with donors, funders, and community partners.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience overseeing teams and managing projects, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization and with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for development, fundraising, and strategic partnership initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, funders, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee communications and public relations efforts to support the organization’s mission and enhance brand visibility.
  • Lead the planning and execution of organizational campaigns, special events, and engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and executive leadership to align development and partnership strategies with organizational goals.
  • Support the Board of Directors and relevant committees in development and partnership initiatives.
  • Manage grant-related activities, including research, proposal development, and reporting, as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the development and communications teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
