About The Position

LifeLinc Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team at the East Memphis Surgery Center in Memphis, Tennessee. East Memphis Surgery Center is a modern, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center providing high-quality outpatient surgical services across several specialties, including orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and general surgery. With streamlined workflows and a well-supported anesthesia model, CRNAs enjoy predictable schedules, minimal turnover time, and a strong focus on patient comfort and safety. Conveniently located in Memphis, Tennessee, the center offers an excellent practice environment for PRN CRNAs who value work-life balance, autonomy, and a consistent outpatient caseload without call or overnight responsibilities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. The case mix includes ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Podiatry, Pain Management, Urology, GYN, GI, Plastics, and Ortho.

Requirements

  • ACLS/BLS/PALS certification
  • Malpractice Professional Liability will be covered by LifeLinc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop standards for continuity of care and case management.
  • Remains cognizant of rules and regulation as they pertain to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and remains compliant at a local, state, and federal level.
  • Performing and timely and accurately documenting a pre-anesthetic assessments and patient evaluations, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies; selecting, obtaining, ordering, or administering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids; and obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.
  • Managing a patient's airway.
  • Managing emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
  • Releasing or discharging patients from a post-anesthesia care area, and providing post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care related to anesthesia side effects or complications.
  • Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  • Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA.
  • Attends meetings as needed.
  • Works with peers to obtain required information on a timely basis and to solve outstanding issues, as appropriate.
  • Promotes and contributes positively to the teamwork of the department by assisting coworkers, contributing ideas and problem-solving with co-workers.
