About The Position

This role is a member of S&P Global Ratings Operating Committee (OpCo) and reports directly to the President of S&P Global Ratings. At S&P Global Ratings, our analyst-driven credit ratings, research, and sustainable finance opinions provide critical insights that are essential to translating complexity into clarity so market participants can uncover opportunities and make decisions with conviction. The Ratings Commercial team focuses on providing high quality customer coverage and product development services for ratings and non-ratings credit products, including cyber risk products, data and models.

Requirements

  • Extensive executive leadership experience within the financial services industry, with a demonstrated ability to scale revenue globally in complex, B2B settings.
  • A robust commercial track record in driving revenue growth, pricing strategy, and forming strategic partnerships with blue-chip corporates and top-tier investors.
  • Leadership experience with strong issuer and investor relationships across developed markets, particularly within the corporate bond markets and institutional investor networks.
  • Proven ability to navigate and comply with regulatory environments, including SEC, FCA, and ESMA.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with senior leadership and board members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive commercial leadership and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with the overarching goals of S&P Global Ratings.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to address issuers’ needs and drive growth across global markets.
  • Lead global teams in delivering high-quality customer coverage and innovative product development, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Foster collaboration and leadership within the commercial team, emphasizing growth and development to build a strong, cohesive unit that drives strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure that customer-centricity is at the heart of all activities, aligning strategies and operations to consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Manage business origination processes to maximize opportunities for ratings and credit products.
  • Drive the expansion of S&P Global Ratings product offerings, including DeFi, etc. and cross-divisional offerings.
  • Collaborate across S&P Global's divisions, ensuring coordination with each division's Chief Commercial Officer and the Enterprise CCO to foster an enterprise mindset.
  • Report directly to the President of S&P Global Ratings and engage with Operating Committee peers across Analytical, Compliance, Technology, and other functions.
  • Engage with the S&P Global Ratings board, providing insights and updates on commercial strategies and performance.
  • Serve as a board representative on select joint ventures and statutory entities, contributing to governance, strategic oversight, and commercial alignment.
  • Drive data-driven decision making and accountability throughout the organization.
