About The Position

Fluidics Inc., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services. This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of various building systems, including mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, air handling units, pumps, and heat exchangers. The position involves responding to service calls, resolving emergency situations, and performing hands-on work with heavy equipment in varying environmental conditions.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, hospitality, and customer service experience is mandatory.
  • City of Philadelphia Class A Building Engineers License Required.
  • Mechanical Trades or Trade School certification in applicable disciplines (HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulics, and Plumbing).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hydraulic system operation and maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the operation of building central plant equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure effective and efficient Operations & Maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor all building equipment and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Conduct frequent inspections, generate work orders for necessary repairs, report critical findings, and plan corrective actions.
  • Fulfill contract requirements for staffing levels and schedule appropriately.
  • Designate a replacement when absent.
  • Establish and update preventive maintenance programs, work methods, procedures, and scheduling.
  • Establish efficient use of the CMMS.
  • Monitor completion of tours and operating logs, and assess staff effectiveness.
  • Implement Fluidics policies and procedures related to the Scope of Work.
  • Provide training for on-site personnel, including emergency procedures.
  • Encourage staff career development and coordinate cross-training.
  • Support personnel with payroll, uniforms, vacation scheduling, and employee issues.
  • Assist with submitting Weekly Status Reports, Monthly Dashboards, and Operations Summaries.
  • Delegate work through the Corrigo work order system.
  • Attend weekly work order meetings and other requested meetings.
  • Assist the Project Manager with long-range plans, including equipment replacement and system overhauls.
  • Review and recommend measures to reduce energy consumption and improve system efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor performance standards for O&M staff.
  • Meet regularly with subordinates to review responsibilities and take corrective actions.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of the delegated work safety program and ensure proper PPE utilization.
  • Monitor equipment and facilities for code compliance.
  • Complete and distribute Contractor Request Forms (CRF) and ensure adherence to the CRF process.
  • Manage Hot Work Permits and Red Tag permits.
  • Adhere to property management policies for purchasing and requisitioning maintenance funds.
  • Perform additional duties as required and support the Project Manager.
